Mafia Wars is a “social” game, it’s all about friends – or here family. Mafia Family. Follow their lead. It is in their best interest to help you; after all, they recruited you into their “family.” To ask you’re Friends for help and guidance! As you become more advanced in Mafia Wars you will eventually be recruiting new Family Members of your own, and it will be YOUR turn to help others.
Now it’s time to get busy and do some “jobs” and earn some cash and “level up”. Your Family will invite you to participate in Gangster activities, or Jobs. They may supply you with weapons and vehicles needed to properly and safely perform these jobs. You should choose the jobs that give you the highest payoff to energy used ratio or the highest experience gained to energy used ratio, allowing you to make money faster AND level up faster. As you complete these jobs, you will Level Up, and you will gain experience, cash and Godfather points.
As you build your Mafia Wars Bankroll, and once you have a stable income, you can begin outfitting yourself and your Mafia with an incredible array of weapons, armor, and vehicles. When buying these items, outfit everyone in your mafia with the weapons, armor, and vehicles with the highest attack ratings. Doing so will greatly increase your survival when attacking or being attacked!
Eventually, you won’t need to do any jobs, because with the right investments, you can make more money from your investments than you can by doing jobs. At that point, you’ll just be doing jobs for the experience and to move up to the next level.
Mafia Wars is about Gangsters and Mob…robbing, stealing, fighting, murder and extortion are the norm. Early in your Mafia career, you’ll be focused on increasing your energy, cash and experience. At this stage, the game is about attacking and weapons! As you advance you earn “Godfather Points”, use them to buy energy! Once your energy level reaches 50, then buy specialty weapons!
Later in the Game as your experience increases and those investments build and start to pay off, your focus will shift completely to defense and Stamina. Since you won’t be attacking anyone, you can spend points on defense, and increase your odds of winning every time you are attacked.
Regardless of what you have heard, you don’t need a large Mafia to be successful at Mafia Wars. The larger you’re Mafia, the harder it is to play the game. When you have a large Mafia, you must outfit each Family Member with the best weapons, armor, and vehicles. This is very expensive! Build your investments first – Grow your mafia later. Your first goal should be 16 Mafia Members! A Family of sixteen highly motivated Mobsters outfitted with the very best equipment can give you the cutting edge that you need. And have a lot of fun doing it! However, if you don’t want to be viewed as an easy target, try to keep your Mafia size at least equal to your Level (Level 50 = 50 members).
Here are a few Basic Mafia Wars Rules all Mobsters should follow:
*Remember that Mafia Wars is about family! Ask your family for help, and as you move up in the “ranks” offer to help those you recruit, or any Family members with less experience.
Bank your cash! Put your ill gotten gains in the bank until you can invest it. The bank will charge (rob) you a 10% laundering fee, but that’s a lot cheaper than possibly losing it all in a fight.
Once you have loads of cash, buy properties. ”Mafia Mike’s” is hands down the best investment you can make! Anytime you have the cash on hand and there’s a Mike’s available – BUY IT! It will continue to reward you. If you choose to buy properties other than Mafia Mike’s, always buy properties with the highest return to investment ratio.
Don’t push your Mafia size until you have enough cash or Godfather points to outfit your whole Mafia with the best Weapons, Armor and Vehicles for fights. Many will disagree but a big Mafia is not necessarily a strong Mafia.
If someone is repeating attacking or harassing you, instead of wasting energy and stamina points trying to kill them, put them on the Hit List. It’ll cost you about 10k for the hit, but it also sends the message you are ruthless and won’t tolerate being attacked. Be careful that you don’t over use the hit list – or you’ll find yourself on it. Or, your enemies will band together and take you out.
Mafia Wars runs 24/7 whether you are signed in or not. Before you sign out remember that money you have spent or deposited in the bank can be stolen so you might want to put it into the bank.
